Elaine's passion for construction started at Jules E. Mastbaum Vocational H.S. here in Philadelphia. While attending Temple University Fox School of Business, Elaine accepted an internship in Atlanta at the second-largest telecommunication company in the U.S. This turned into a career that spanned over two decades. During this time, Elaine received Business Management and Construction Management degrees.
Having the knowledge, skills, and abilities, Elaine founded LaPutt Enterprise LLC in 2010.
Initially, Elaine started out performing residential construction, interior home renovations, new construction of single-family dwellings, construction, and project management.
Through the years, Elaine realized the lack of diversity in the industry and began to transition the company to a commercial signatory contractor. She knew this was her way and opportunity to address the lack of women in the industry overall.
"We've made this our brand. We sponsor apprentices in CARP, my high school alum, and similar programs. We offer internal opportunities for advancement in the foremen, general foreman and superintendent roles."

LaPutt Enterprise LLC was founded as a development and investment company in Philadelphia, PA. Operating as a home-based business for a few years, then moving into commercial office space in the community. Self-performing professional and construction services for clients in the Tri-state area.
Our pivot to commercial construction began. Just a few years later, we would find ourselves socially and economically impacted by the effects of COVID-19. We worked remotely to build and establish client relationships. Completing small design-build projects and attending virtual outreach events.
Post-pandemic, we continue to strive to maintain and grow our client base. By expanding our services and coverage areas, we are able to fulfill industry workforce demand and keep a significant backlog, resulting in company growth. We are prequalified with many of the leading prime contractors in the Tri-state and Southeast. Our union affiliations and organizational memberships are great pathways toward becoming an industry leader. Our internal opportunities and local partnerships help to create and build better families and communities.
To perform best-in-class, cost-effective, high-quality construction, safety, on-time and at a fair and competitive price.
